Tours’ City Beautification

Concept

Our study focuses to gather Tours’ heritage riches while developing the city of tomorrow.
The Tours’ city beautification plan is to create a real light signature with an original, harmonious and respectful night identity concerning both its history and its heritage. He responds both to urban, stage (lights and colors effects), economic (cost management and energy savings) and environmental (nuisance reduction) goals.

On one hand, the classic, sober and delicate architectural lighting stresses the building and roof details mainly adapted to visitors. It lets them to cross the city by night discovering history and buildings from another angle than day vision.

On the other hand, the festive lighting applies mainly for the inhabitants, used to see their monuments illuminated in a classic way where combinations of different color ranges give a new aspect of the city. It concerns particular highlightings who mix contemporary art and sustainable development idea.
