Gros Horloge

Concept

Firstly, the Gros Horloge is one of the emblematic monuments of the city of Rouen. The building, next to a belfry, is made up of a Renaissance arch surmounted by an astronomical clock of the 16th century. The work of the perspectives is paramount here. Visible in the continuity of the street of the same name, the Gros Horloge benefits from a lighting with a distant vision (view of the pedestrian street) and a close vision.

It bathes the entire Belfry, the Gros Horloge and the fountain in a warm and reassuring atmosphere. The architectural details are revealed in a gentle way and amplified by the play of contrasts. The ark that straddles the street seems to protect the passer-by who likes to admire its meticulousness.

For the fountain, which is noticed only by a wandering around the edifice, only the near vision is taken into account. It is at the turn of the look that she discovers, inviting to turn to look again the building in search of other alcoves that could have escaped.
