“Les soirées d’Azay” – Azay-le-Rideau Castle

Concept

During the months of July and August, the castle of Azay-le-Rideau welcomes visitors each evening to offer them various themed evenings. For each of these themes, Lyum offers a different atmosphere and atmosphere.

Four colorful and dynamic scenarios follow during the week. The castle is thus tinged with warm white three times a week. During the evenings inviting a wandering in the middle of the village illuminated by a thousand candles. A gradual lighting of the windows creates the illusion of a human presence in the castle, lighting the candles as it moves.

During the gourmet evenings on Tuesdays, where visitors can discover the specialties of the region, an orange-red pulsation inside the castle is set up to open the appetite of the finest gourmets. The musical evenings at the twilight of Thursdays and Fridays will be colored with a soothing blue, alternating between a deep blue and a cyan blue. It gives a dreamlike atmosphere conducive to listening.

Finally, at the evenings of Saturday, with the aim of allowing the discovery of the Renaissance curiosities, the facades of the castle illuminate with a majestic cold white and the roofs of a deep blue. It reminds the grandeur of the kings yesteryear.
