Concept

Half way between Paris and the sea, the city of Rouen developed on a remarkable site, a loop of the Seine, dominated by wooded heights, in the notch of the cliff notched by the river.

Rouen does not wish to resemble a city museum. She has decided to join modernity by seeking to « make her treasures shine in a new atmosphere ». The choice was made to set up a modern and refined equipment that does not freeze the city at one time.

A high quality lighting environment was preferred over light output. Thus Rouen is the first city in the world to have only white lights with very good color rendering (IRC high).

The objective is to continue the Agenda 21 initiative that Rouen has set itself by limiting energy consumption. The 150 different types of material are replaced by 15 sets that meet the needs of each space in the city.
